OK let’s face it, our pets don’t necessarily always need clothes or anything like this, but come on, how cute are they with it! I’ll first say this: if your pet is angry, annoyed, allergic, or anything negative when putting things on them, just don’t. Not worth it.
Otherwise, I am definitely one of those pet moms that love a good ‘pet fashion show’. However, I also like Koda in a cute bandana or something of the sort for some actual ‘real’ reasons too.
Why I like Koda in a bandana (and when):
We often go to the dog park, and I like to be able to spot him. Even if he is in a big backyard it helps to locate him. Or the worst — when (I say when, and not if) he runs away after breaking thru our screen door, it’s helpful to find him then.
With the above mentioned, I also usually keep some type of red bandana on him as well — this should hopefully trigger some people that although Koda isn’t a mean dog, he can be very protective and nervous so please don’t approach quickly or let your dog run up on him because he just isn’t always sure, and sometimes that might come off as ‘aggressive’.
I have actually spritzed some calming spray/pheromones on the bandana when we have a bad storm or fireworks because it helps him relax.
I haven’t done it but I know people do this too with bug repellent and such too!
And the most important: I swear he smiles and knows he looks good when he wears them :)
There are so many cute places you can look at getting pet bandanas at, and I say pet because I don’t personally limit it to just my dog — Loki (my cat) definitely rocks a cute bandana too! There are some that the collar slips thru, some that button, and then of course the traditional tie bandana (usually what I stick with).
Of course I love Chewy's options because they have it all, and this one can even be personalized! I have also stumbled across this adorable pet accessory store that has tons of options, so cute The Foggy Dog! AND every order donates food to dog shelters!
Not sure if this technically falls under a unique pet product, but one that I think can serve multiple purposes for pet owners, especially some that a lot of people may not have thought of before (thinking it’s just a fashion statement for your dog). You can find some helpful benefits when you incorporate a bandana, and I mean if they look good while doing it then it’s a win-win!
